Who is the Solving Equations Course For?
Solving equations is a key skill in Math so the earlier students master this skill the better. Some of the equations in this course are accessible for students with little algebra experience but the more challenging types require Algebra 1. View the CLASSROOM.
What is Taught in Solving Equations?
Algebraic Expressions, Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations, Polynomial Equations, Systems of Linear Equations, Inequations. View the full CURRICULUM.
What Will I Take Away From This Course?
Students will be able to solve a range of types of equation which is a key skill for all future Math courses, Pre-Calculus & Calculus. Students practice what they’ve learnt from our instructional videos using carefully designed Solving Equations worksheets.
How Does Solving Equations Compare to Algebra 1?
There is some cross-over between Algebra 1 and Solving Equations but Algebra 1 focuses on a range of Algebra techniques whereas Solving Equations focuses only on the algebra required to solve equations. Algebra 1 is a good pre-requisite for Solving Equations.
What is the Progression From Solving Equations?
Solving Equations is, to some extent, a stand-alone course but it is a good pre-requisite for Algebra 2.
Hi, I’m Gary, and I'll be your instructor for this course in Solving Equations.
I'll be straight with you, I love Math! But I completely get that for most of us it's very challenging, and often frustrating. I'm here to help make it easier for you. I've taught many Solving Equations students. I understand the sticking points and how to help you develop skills and boost your confidence. I have a BSc Honours degree in Pure Mathematics and have been educated in both the UK and the US. I own and run a private tuition business where I've served many hundreds of Maths students.
