Pre-Calculus
The Precalculus online course helps you develop a range of new skills to get ready for Calculus. Firstly, students will consolidate key algebra skills and then study various types of functions and their related techniques. Precalculus covers a lot of ground so we help build skills up slowly. What Will I Take Away From This Course?
Students will develop understanding of Mathematical functions and related techniques, and will develop knowledge of specific functions required in Calculus. Students practice what they’ve learnt from our instructional videos using carefully designed Pre-Calculus worksheets.
How Does Pre-Calculus Compare to Calculus?
Pre-Calculus supports students learning Mathematical functions for the first time whereas Calculus assumes some experience with functions which it then builds upon.
What is the Progression From Pre-Calculus?
Pre-Calculus gives students key knowledge and skills which form the foundation for Calculus, a large and important area of Mathematics with many applications in the real world.
Hi, I’m Gary, and I'll be your instructor for this course in Pre-Calculus.
I'll be straight with you, I love Math! But I completely get that for most of us it's very challenging, and often frustrating. I'm here to help make it easier for you. I've taught many Pre-Calculus students. I understand the sticking points and how to help you develop skills and boost your confidence. I have a BSc Honours degree in Pure Mathematics and have been educated in both the UK and the US. I own and run a private tuition business where I've served many hundreds of Maths students.
